Could you add to your question where your from? UK or USA? Ans then I will edit my answer and answer you.
EDIT:
Highschool: Obviously just try your hardest in every subject nd try to gani as many qualifications as yuo can as highschool is compulsory.
Post secondary: I don’t know how the post-secondary system works in te USA so I can’t give a complete answer if your from USA. Take 4 subjects after secondary school. Preferably Mathematics, Physics, a language and a subject you enjoy, in the second year drop the subject you enjoy as the others are far more important.
After that, take a degree in your most successful subject as airlines don’t mind which degree you have as long as yuo have one – although it is not a necessity.
Training – Take flying lessons for your PPL A.S.A.P. The minimum age to begin is 14, go solo is 16, obtain license is 17. So start that whenever you can.
You can fly aircraft in the army.
You may join a military aviation school where they teach you to fly aircraft. The Army does not teach you to fly planes. Try the Airforce or Naval Academy in your country.
Yes, there are many pilot positions available in the Army. I mean the US Army, of course. You could be a UH-60 helicopter pilot and fly troops in and out of battle, an AH-64 Apache pilot and kick the shit out of some tanks and infantry, you could fly C-130 transport planes, C-5 or C-17 transport planes, and many other planes and jobs. You could also be a aircraft maintenance technician or something like that. If you plan on flying in the military, though, I would suggest you join the navy or Air Force. You could even fly jest and helicopters for the Marines, or fly rescue choppers for the Coast Guard. The options for a pilot are limitless.
yes the army is the free path to becoming a commercial pilot. To join the army you don’t need a lot of education but if you were to fly commercially you would have to look at the airline’s requirements. But to get to the point yes you can.
This website is from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). This has all of the information you would need in becoming a private pilot.
